Recently bought a '96 VTI-R and am looking to replace the intake. On all the websites I've visited so far list the car as a Civic EX '96-00

Is this the equavlent model of mine overseas with a B16 ??

If not what should I be looking for ?

:D

Civic EX (USDM) coupe = Civic coupe Vti EJ8 96-98 (AUDM)
Civic Si (USDM) coupe = Civic coupe Vti-R EM1 98-00 (AUDM)

USDM = US domestic market
AUDM = Aus domestic market

No... '96 Vti-R is a hatchback and it is made in Japan. Should be looking for EK-4 part.

I know the car is an EK4, but when i go to www.simota.com for example there is no mention of EK, or the engine the part is to bolt on to.

Basically trying to work out what other model EK shaped civic's came with the B16 as standard overseas. Alternatively if an item from a different model would fit.

This was what i was looking at buying. Can anyone tell just by looking at it if it will bolt on to an EK4 ?

The models on the simota website are

SIM-PT617-2 Honda Civic EK 96-97
SIM-PT617-3 Honda Civic SI 99

The one pictured is the SIM-PT617-2.... you think it would be compatible with no modification ?
