Thought I'd place it in the n00b forum as I'm sure it would come up time and time again.

Did a search as well.

Pod filters. Somes say universal, some are car brand specific (i.e. K&N). I want to buy a pod filter from a friend who owns a skyline to replace the stainless steel crap I have now. He has a K&N.

Now, the filter itself, is the diameter of the "mouth" on the metal plate base of the filter universal? If so, then I should be able to adapt it to my pre-existing rubber attachment, right?

Any help is good.

Cheers all.

most of the time, the ones that u see to suit specific cars will be panel filters rather than pod filters.. the majority of pod filters are universal and have a 3" mouth! hope that helps at all!
