2nd Gear Sluggish

I just traded my Integra Type S in for a black Euro Lux Nav 06 Manual (Am I Crazy or Cool?) :confused:

I'm looking to improve the speed in second gear - seems to be a bit sluggish.

Would a high performance air filter help?

Can anyone relate to this downside in 2nd gear only?

You're crazy :p

It's because the Euro has a longer gear ratio and is heavier, while making less power than the Type S. Even if you put on an intake, you'd lose bottom end and gain top end. So if you were in 2nd gear 3000rpm, you'd still be slower than if you were stock. Only at 5000rpm above will you feel a little bit of gain.

And it's going to be the same in 3rd, 4th and 5th gears as well. :cool:

Yeh, had to say bye-bye to the teggie because I am having my 3rd child. Teggie is only 4 seater. Gotta hand it to honda - the Euro handles like a my dad's BMW 7 series. I am very pleased so far with the ride. It's a huge change from the stiff integra. :D
