Fuel evaporates and if you get water or any other crap in there its going to play havoc with your motor. Get a proper cap. See a wrecker, but expect to pay. They're all over $100 new (some much more), and have been for 10 years!

Yeah KWICKS is right. I got charged $115 for my fuel cap, after the fuzz made me replace it. I was originally pulled over coz my HRV was too loud, and too low..... had to get a Euro Accord to calm myself down

Hot diggity - $115 for a fuel cap? Was it a Type-R one or just a crappy Honda cap? I hope you've tied it to the car so you don't lose the new one!

Yeah it was the Type-R style. Cops almost didn't think it was genuine last time I got defected ... again

Barely. But still manage to get away with it sometimes. I hate pigs. They're only there to destroy your day.
