i got the same problem, my driver side mat holds down fine (probably because of this red thing that holds it in place haha)
but my passenger side always slides arounds.
the rubber legs dont seem to be holdin for me, not like it ever did.

im keen on some crt mats since im missing bak mats as well

Price up some mats from a trimmer, they'll be made perfect fit and to your colour and design. Mate is having a set made for his new Golf GTi front and rear, plush carpet, piped edging, custom GTi embroidery, foot mat for driver side, with those plastic cips added to hold them in perfect for $300ish (but thats all for top of the range carpets etc)...

I have OEM mats that fit nice onto my EK1.. very good fit.. I recommend that you go to the dealers and find out how much they would cost.. also mine have a clip that holds it to place. These are screw on to the floor...

hit up your local honda dealer's spare parts section, should have them in stock or able to source some.

If your after cheap floor mates that will fit.

Get some door mats Cut them to size. I put one in my Ek before i got some good ones.

Perfect fit covers the whole floor. didnt budge a bit

I had 2 pairs and sold them both Very quickly but not for 200.

When available they could be had for about 130-140 at honda but the darker EK4 mats are discontinued and no longer available though there are limited amounts of the light grey ones still available.

They come with rubber backing and a holding tab that fits to the floor of the drivers side so that mat doesnt move forward.

If you want custom mats Matt @ G Trim does a great job in Sydney but if you've got a neat stock interior then the OEM's look better in my opinon.

Cheers
