list your car, stereo equipment installed and how and who wired it if you know then with that picture painted it will be easier to answer your question :)

First, do a search. Second make sure the RCAs are away from the power wires. Next ground things better. If that doesn't help try a filter.

i got pioneer headunit pretty crap one but will be upgrading soon to jvc dvd player

kenwood 6"splits
kewood 6x9
2 12"subs
powercable down left side of car
and rca's down right side
will test grounds today

so there is no specific cause of the noise i saw that it might be the grounding ports but it doesn't seem to be very definate

Humm, i had this problem with my Pioneer head unit. although my headunit is a competition one. most likly its the RCA Fuse blown in the headunit. Take it to pioneer and they should beable to phix it for you..... Otherwise, at the back of the headunit area, make sure that ur RCA's arent touching any grounding points. as this might caus some problems. Let us know how u go...... Cheers!

90% of engine noise is ground loops. Check all grounds! Try alternative grounds on the Deck and Amps. Its worked many times for me. Hope that helped. ;)

Check the RCA fuse first, then...

Make sure the amp's metal casing is not in contact with the cars frame. For example if the amp is screwed down into the cars frame, that can cause whine. To avoid this, buy a sheet of MDF wood and screw that into the car first, then screw the amp onto the MDF.

Another common cause is because the Amp's power cable is running along the RCA's, so run the power cable the opposite side to the RCA's.

ps. Stratheid Car Radios sell audio filters to remove alternator noise. Try that if all else fails.

If you install a suppressor, then there goes all the sound quality. Not sure what sort of stuffs you have, most probably is the wiring of your equipment.

This should solve your problem.
-Separate all power from RCA and speaker cables, at least 1' distance.
-Ensure that all amps are grounded to a same ground source.
-HU and other equipent in front also grounded properly.

If it doesnt, then did you change to some aftermarket ignition cable (spark plug cables?) If its so, then it cant be help, change back to OEM or better cables. Sometimes can get something like helicopter sound too....
