Just wondering everyone's been tellin me that for a car to be legal with an engine transplant the engine must be no older than the current car chassis. Is this true???

There you go. Great way to summarise a very common question.
It IS illegal for an older engine in a newer chassis for obvious EPA reasons.
DONT ask here ~ ask the source ! RTA , vicroads...etc !
