Hey guys, i own a LS teg and im interested in changing the front seats because of a tear in the drivers seat, atm i have seat covers but i cant stand them and i really wanted to get them re-apolstered, until i got quoted $400 to get 1 seat done in velour. i was like wtf... anyways ive looked at racing seats and i cant find any that will fit, there all too wide. Ive looked around and found LS seats for cheap, but in blue. mine are GRAPHITE black. So my next option is to find other seats from other cars that fit in perfectly, it doesnt matter if the rails are different, i can customise that myself.
so i wanna know: does anyone know what other car seats fit into LS, that look and feel good, or has anyone installed other seats in there LS?

Yes it can be done i got these cheap of ebay and installed them my self
just welded the existing rails to the base of these seats
i had the same problem as you with the wear on the drivers side seat

universal rails dont really fit on a honda
as they have a flat bar like a holden where honda has a bridge and bolts in from the front and back
so the bolts go in sideways not down

thanks
done all the work my self

i got these off ebay for $370 then sold the universal rails for $51 so i payed $319 in total for these pretty cheap
but you get what you pay for
the pads have allready worn out a bit and you can feel the metal but fine when your sitting in it

yeah, i bought some sparco replicas and they are good, got them for $250. if the seats are too wide or narrow then you just make a rectangle of 4 flat sides like a box then bolt them onto the stock rails

well when i made them fit i was worried about hight so i modifyed then base of the seat a little to sit lower and made shure my construction of the adaptor bracket that i welded wasnt to thick
overall i think it was less then 10mm more in ride hight

stock seats felt better and more cumfy to drive also heald me in better
but it looks good now

my seats have a wider fit in them they are alot looser fit then genuine recaros
you do get a bit of a dip back but cant really compare
