Wierd noise

Last night my car started to make wired noises

it's alomost like a rexy motor sound..
doenst sound like a spun bearing or anything.
no tappet noise..
just a burbly tone.
there isnt any visual exghaust leaks..
but seems to be coming directly from the engine..

any susggestions? or experience?

did u bottom out ur car? and put a hole on ur header?

nah i got new plugs
i did scrape on the bottom but on the B pipe section not the header.

one of you plug leads disconnected? when your running on 3 cyl it usually sounds like rex. noticable loss in power?

nope power is the same.

but seems like there alot of air pressure loss i can hear air escpae..
maybe it is the gasket..
i might check that 2mrw

i had the same sound wen one of my lead came loose...

when did you last change your timming belt, could of jumped a few teeth

okay i pushed it hard today
powers the same
everything feels the same
engine is louder
and i can hear air hose type noise from the engine

Danny double check and retighten the the exhaust manifold, especially where it bolts to the cat. I had this problem where it was loose and engine sounded louder, but u could here it suck air.

Take all the spark plugs out and inspect.. Just go through the process of elimination !!

check spark plugs and leads, make sure there's spark and fuel on all four cylinders.

make sure leads on the distributor arn't loose.

Engine is louder? how about ur exhaust? is it louder?

check all hoses that are connected to the inlet manifold.

nah it's not the plugs
it turned out to be the 4-2 gasket on the headers

yeh thought it would be something to do with the exhaust manifold :)
