I own a DC2R and have a question regarding the standard air box.
Do you actually get more power with the air box cap off or on (cause i know it sounds awesome with it off especially when you hit VTEC)
Though i dont know whether there is any real difference
Does anybody know anything???
Sorry if this has been discussed before (tried searching but couldnt find anything)
. it ll help u alot on sucking in hot air...

silly to keep the lid off - just keep it on and run a nice large pipe from the bumper front to the bottom of the box

well it is still actually filtering the air as the air filter is still intact. u do lose power and a little fuel efficience but the sound is nice

Just get a nice panel filter, should make ur note sound a lot better. Still not as good as with the cover off tho! haha. By the way I think not having a cover on your filter can earn you a defect.

Dont honda filters sit in the bootom of the box, not in the lid, thus if u take the lid off, its just sucking in unfiltered air?

we are talking about a DC2R guys. It sits in a airbox as a "feed" and the pod is directly connected to the intake arm.

yes the dc2r is not like a civic with a panel filter. it is an air pod like chuck said
