As everyone knows, Honda use aluminium blocks for their engines.
I am guessing this aids cooling, but mostly I assume Honda did this so the engine weighs less, for better weight distribution and handling.
My question is, what about Honda gearboxes? Are they designed to weigh less than a conventional gearbox? Specifically a DC5R gearbox?
Does anyone actually know the weight of a DC5R gearbox?
