Vtec Not Working

hey guys i just finish my conversion b18c into my 89 crx. my vtec doesnt seem to work all the time. it mostly happens in 1st and 2nd gear. does any one know why this is happening? Sometimes it will kick in and other time it won't. :confused:

Give ur VTEC solenoid a clean... I had a similar problem and cleaning it fixed it good as new :thumbsup:

check your oil level i had the same problem

[ECU-MAN]

check your oil pressure.

oil level must be right
oil and filter quality is important

no dents in the sump
VTEC solenoid strainer must be clean,
spool valve must be free to move

you getting 12v to your solenoid, use a test lamp to check
