minolta dimage 7i...one of those beef mofos!yes it's getting quite old....
will have to upgrade to d-SLR when I improve a bit more.
Congrats to the winners. :)
Reason why I think Richie won 3rd was because his pic was on the last page...people probably didn't see it lol :D

In retrospect, there were too many photos.....people didnt rate all of the images....especially the ones on the first page.
I think next photocomp should be limited to one page.
either that or limited to one photo her user. as seen in the recent photo comp, if repetitive winners were allowed then fueltank would've taken all three places.

Congrats to the winners. :D
I reckon only one entry per person for the next comp.yep. and I am even considering they just email them all to me.
so they will be unveiled at the same time for the same length of time.

Hey Ed :)
I'm doing alright, really up and down. I just bought an awesomely expensive lens and it crapped out on me the second day after I bought it. It was the EF 70-200mm F2.8 IS...
I bought it from Hong Kong too so I don't know if i'll be able to get it repaired :(
My guess is.. you'll be getting the Nikon D70 :P
And i'm very confident that you will!

DOH! can you get the lens repaired locally?
Who makes the lens?
Yeah Nikon D70 is an option ;)
I am really leaning towards the minolta D-slr though as it is rumoured to have anti-shake which I think will come in very useful.
All comes down to price, as I'd like to buy 2nd lens too ;)

I hope so - going to ring the sydney canon office today, it's a Canon lens :(
I haven't really been into digicams lately, I suppose because i'm just not in the market for one anymore. Never really heard of the Minolta D-SLR but have you put into consideration the available choice of great lenses you can get with Nikon and Canon? I don't know anything about the Minolta though, but Nikon and Canon both have anti-shake lenses in their range. IS for Canon and VR for Nikon I think, but I don't know if they're as effective as the Minolta's anti-shake.

I know someone who works in canon that maybe able to get it fixed for you.
PM me if you want their number ;)

hehe nah.. these are amatuer D-SLR's.
1D/1Ds/D2H etc are pro cameras.
10D/D100 is in about the middle. I don't think they're as great as they used to be with the intro of the 300D and the D70.
