ummmm why would you want to....
you shouldnet be using degreaser on brakes anyways, if anything you should be using a product spectificly from brakes like brakecleen.
the reson is this if you get some degreaser on the rotor it will affect your breaking as you are adding a product that may induce slipping. suggest that u use approved products
can get em from repco, autobarn, bursons and super cheap

Some degreasers contain chemicals that pull the moisture out of the rubber lines and seals. I would recommend Brakeclean or something like that. It will get the grease off just as good as any other. Also if you all have Dawn dish soap, that works in a spray bottle and doesn't hurt a thing. Also works great on hands!

I have to second that opinoin about Dawn dish washing detergent. It works great on the majority of under bonnet components.

If you've got anything that custom painted under there as well, it won't take the paint off or effect its gloss coat.

if your calipers are off, ie no brake lines no rotor it should be ok.

don't really see what could be effected if you take the pads off

Use brake cleaner, Big W and auto stores sell it for under $5 for a can... This is what it was designed for!

most 'brake cleaner' is highly toxic - so be careful with it...

no, it is FINE for calipers, just *maybe* not the rubber brake hose...?

Caliper piston rubbers can be eaten/destroyed by degreaser. Get the right stuff and know that it is designed to do it. I saw a 600mL spray can of brake cleaner at Big W for $2.49!!
