where does it go what does it actually do

my mate got his installed professionally and cant tell any differenence as to when we wired it up without connecting it

it just dims the headunit when you turn on ur headlights. Just like the way how your car clock dims when you turn on headlights.

Just makes it so the brightness of the HU isnt distracting when driving at night.

In regards to the wire make sure it is connected to a light wire in the back of the dash that turns the lights on and then dims the display on the head unit if it done corect. Hope this help you or if you have any more Questions please feel free to PM me and i will try to help you out.
