accelerator problems

i have an ef civic sedan and just had a b16a vtec engine swap. But when i go to accelerate the pedal sticks and you have to tap the pedal before you drive to release it.

I had the same problem with my Civic when I converted to EFI. The throttle cable gets kinked and causes the throttle to get stuck. Another common problem is the throttle body is dirty and gets stuck with the junk caught in it.

Have the throttle body cleaned and have the throttle cable 'cord' rotated and adjusted to stop it from kinking
