What is a 94 dc2 (gsi) underdash harness.. obd1 or 2?

All this obd1/2 stuff confuses me, anyone wanna explain the basics of it too me? i did a quick search and couldnt find much. I thought id ask it in the noob forum as it probably would get moved here anyway.

Im hoping the underdash harness is obd1

obd1 = before emission became stricter.
0bd2 = ecu checks emisions gear is working correctly.introduced in 1995 i think
