can anyone recommend some good tyres for my EK. Im looking for 195/50 and its really hard to get a honest answer. Every different tyre outlet I go to are all trying to push their own product, which is fair enough but i just need a honest answer!!

Basically Im looking for the best performance tyre I can get for round $125 per tyre max. Ive been looking at the Eagle F1's which hover around the $130 mark. My mates got them on his CRX and is quite happy with them.

Anyway i would really appreciate anyones suggestion on tyres and even recommend a decent tyre outlet in Adelaide.

Cheers

From experience, i've been super happy with Yokohoma (dont have the model name) and also Michelins (one up from base).

search the forum 'tyre recommendation thread.....a crap load of tyre reviews there...

personally if u got anything smaller the 17 dont go for eagle F1...made in taiwan...not germany like the 17 plus sizes...IMO anyway.....remember to have some money on the side for fitting and balancing and an alignment while ur at it =)

btw agreed with ^^^above...second set of yokos and loving them

plenty of good tyres out there for about $125 in 15".

some recommendations are Bridgestone GIII, Yokohama ES100 or C.drive, Toyo T1R... I personally have used the GIII's in that size and reckon they're great. Heard really good things about the Yokos and Toyos... but then there's also the Dunlops, Goodyears, Firestone, Pirellis... list goes on. Anyway, best to searchh the net for reviews, ask ur friends, and read that 'tyre recommendation' thread.

thanks for all the replies....much appreciated!

I live in Adelaide which sort of limits me abit and the max that i really want to spend is around $125.

Anymore suggestions?????

Im looking into the GIII and toyo tyres recommended above, but would they fall into around the $125 per tyre bracket??

Thanks

i bought my GIIIs 3yrs ago wen they got released for $135 each fitted/balanced. but i'm sure u can find a lower price now. and i'm pretty sure the c.drives can be found for that price too cos i was quoted $150 for 16" recently

best to pick up the fone and ring around. then when u find a decent price, get sumone to match it for ya ;)

thanks for all the help..

In the end i went withe Toyo PROXES 4 which i can get for $110 fitted and balanced.
The cheapest i could get the GIII's were about $133 and the Toyo TiR's were about $149. Thye reckon the PROXES 4 are very god but i guess the only was i will find out is when i test them

cheers
