Just make sure that all your fluids are up before you leave

Things like radiator, clutch, gearbox, and engine fluid are all good to go.

Nothing worse than having your car overheat or your gearbox getting sticky (alot of extra effort)

Yes, bring cushions as the seats were not really designed to be sat on for a very long time and can be quite uncomfortable after a while as you cant move around in them.

You'll be fine. Don't forget your tyre iron & make sure your spare is pumped up with air.

I bought my vtir from Melbourne and drove 8-9 hrs to Adelaide, road quality is quite good all the way, just like any other car, look after it and it'll look after you. You may want ear plugs though. :)

8 hrs is short. If you know the U.S., our Semi went 1200 miles on one tank, 200 gallons. That's a lot of miles. We stopped only for food and to use the restrooms, atleast 5 hrs between stops on average. Just make sure the fluids all check out, all the connections are connected and you have a lot of cd's and drinks. A friend to go with you, to drive or what ever, is good too!

VTi-R felt ok @ 200 for me as well. On a private road though at my uncles farm.

Dont you dare do those speeds on the highways.

yeah i find thecar to feel nice and planted at speed as long as you are accelerating, if you back off the accelerator at speed especially whilst cornering that's where you risk getting all crossed up. otherwise they are fine at high speed.

i learnt that one very early on and i had a newfound respect for the thing ever since, but straight line high speeds are a beauitiful feeling...

no shakes, no niggles... just beautiful
