Hey guys Im new and am currently trying to get my civic back on the road.
Its a 89 civic with the dual carb d15b4 I have searched an searched and have got no where. My problem is all the hosses for the carbs that go into those little steel tubes, its all the emmissions crap and vacume hoses from the vac advance and the charcoal canister etc. Where do they all go, does anybody have detailed photos or diagrams to help me get my car running.

thanx

I had this problem when I was trying to swap from single to dual carb. I gave up. However, afterwards I realised the best way would probably be to go to the wreckers. The one I go to has quite a few dual carb civics still all hooked up.

the hoses coming from the black box of horror in the top right have numbers on them,

you can corespond them to the hoses at the other ends as they also have the matcing numbers on the hoses.

The little black box of horrors causes all sorts of power restrictive nightmares. Not even that good on fuel economy either :(

The above pic does have a few things different but is good for an idea of how it all goes together.

Yes, it is a VTEC dual carb motor but it is not worth doing. With EFI, there is no ignition advance and heaps of other problems. The owner is STILL trying to sell the POS on carsales.com.au.
