Still a good deal though. Makes the install nice and easy which keeps the costs down too.

a harness which allows you to plug your new piggyback ecu to the existing harness without splicing into the original wiring. So you can take it out at a later stage if you want to.

Mate how good is the e-mange system though?
Its good to have a plug & play harness but usually it depends on the ECU's ability to use factory sensors and keep some factory setting like idling.

Let me know how you go cos i'd like to look into it also. Had some bad experiences in the pas with aftermarket ecus which did not allow for factory settings.

Also how much was the e-manage?

Emanages are approx $500-$600 - depending where you get it. I got mine second hand for a bit less.

As to how good it is? I've heard good and bad things about them from various people - but thats thesame for all the other Piggybacks or Full Aftermarket ECUs - just depends on the application. I don't have it plugged in yet so I can't say if its working or not working for me.

Being a piggyback ECU it uses all stock sensors on the car, only adjusts Air.Fuel ratios and if you have added an Injector harness/Timing harness it will also allow you to control those as an option.

What this plug and play harness does - one end plugs into your existing ECU, the other end into your Emanage (or VAFC/SAFC - whch ever you have) and thats it! you're on your way to have it tuned.

You don't have to pay for installation - some places I've been quoted were $500 for install and then EXTRA for tune.

So basically saves you hassles when installing and then when removing.

Mate does the e-manage come with the timing & injector options or are they an added extra?

SINISTR

they come as part of the ECU and you can program them yes. But to be able to do that you need the two 'seperate' harnesses - which are extra.

so i guess if you had someone to copy you might be able to make your own harness?

original ignition and injector harness's are available at a cost of approx $60/$70 each - why would you want to make them? just buy them. Cost more to make than to buy.

This harness I got simply makes the installation into the car much easier. no need to cut wired etc - and this one is available from the US.

As I said - the company who I got my harness from also has harnesses for the VAFC and SAFC as well as other applications.

PM me for information.

So what are you hoping to gain from the emanage?

SINISTR

im estimating between 5-10HP gain just on the tune.

But given the Cams and gears id estimate anywhere between 20-30hp. Hopefully 120-130@wheels with a good tune.
