i need help
what do you think is the problem
Car: EK4
Problem: wheels scrub when i turn
Current Rims: 40+offset
Stock Offset: nfi !
rims: 16x7.00, 4x100,
tyres: 205/45/R16
height: the guard covers about 6-7mm of my tyres
what would you do to make it stop scrubbing
the weird thing is. i have 2 friends. same tyre size. same rim size. i dont know about the height. but theirs do not scrub.

whats ur suspension setup?
first thing i would do is find out which actual part its actually hitting (either find a cheap splash guard n paint it white, or sticky tape the splash guard with newspaper then go for a ride and do u turns etc, then take off the wheel and see where its hitting), and then move on from there
or get a camber kit
then lower it more like the us boys =] !!

Your car is to low. That would be my first guess.

So does it still scrape?
i raised it abit more . still scrapes. but obviously, less. hmm.. the front dampers are on about 10 out of 24 settings. dont intend to go higher than this. scrapes when i turn. i think i mgiht leave it and let hte splashguards wear out

find out what the offset of your rims are. i hear that can be the cause of scrubbing if its not close to 40
offset is 40. it only scrusb when i turn left. scrubs on driver side front.height is even all round. might keep driving it for a while.. see how it goes

sound very familiar;) . I have exactly the same problem but i got 17" 42+ 205/40 and lower it by 30mm, it scrapes only on certain turn and not all the time.
16" should be fine unless u lower ur car by heaps (3" or something). Have u tried to roll up ur plastic guard? that's what i'm gonna do
