Hope i posted this on the right forum.

I got offered the following:

sub: 1 x kicker solobaric L7 12" dual 2 ohm.
amp: 1 x crossfire BMF 1000D

All for $650. Would that be good price? The sound is still really great.

depends if the amp is a monoblock or a 2 channel amp and if it is 1ohm stable if its all good then its should go hard.
Cheers Stephen

top sub, deserves a top monoblock, which u have :) these 2 for $650.. u did good mate

dvc 2ohm, running it at 1ohm yes?? make sure ur electrical system is up to scratch cus at 1ohm ur amp will draw alot of current

just to b safe:
. upgrade the powerwires to the amp and groundwire
. upgrade the groundwires for the battery and alternator that connect to the chassis
. keep wire lengths to a minimum where practical

then, if any more electrical probs, upgrade battery/2nd batt/new alt

if ur only runnning it at 4ohm, then ur not gettin the most out of the amp...

thx for the opinions guys.

I have listened the sound of the sub. It's superb, much clearer and louder than my mate's 2x10" JL sub. It makes the car vibrates....really cool.....really recommend this sub + amp.

That amp is a real 1000W RMS @ 1OHM 12.5V. More than just 1OHM stable. All Crossfire gear is rated at a real world 12.5V not 14.4V which means to compare it to most of the competition you add 20% more to the Crossfire numbers. BMF stands for Big Mother Friendly.

In 2001 the BMF1000D single handedly brought home 37 trophies in 3 different sanctioning bodies, (including 19 in the top three), and the Db Drag Extreme Cup (for the highest SPL of the show).

The bigger brother VR4000D is just plain scarey with 4000W RMS @ 2OHM 12.5V.

Both Crossfire and Kicker are good brands. Sounds good to me. :)
