as above...was told that when ur car is lowered..the cv joint is nt working at its optimum angle..thus wearing out quickly...is it true?

yes its true, but depending on how low u lowered the car.
i had my car really low for about 6 to 7 years and the cv didnt stuff up on me.

I think this is true but at the same time I think that since the cv's are at a larger angle when on stock height than lowered height I am not sure?
At the same time I think lowering it bring the engagement points closer to each other.
I have heard, though, that excessively lowered Honda's bust their cv's quite quick

It will cause premature wear, but it really depends how low you go.
I am sure the CV's are designed to work at the stock angles/height, as Honda wouldnt release 100,000+ cars with fast wearing CV's....or would they? Good idea to make money in repairs :P
Anyway, keep it smart and it wont be an issue.

Short answer = Yes.
But as some have already mentioned, it depends on how low you go, but even if its a minor height adjustment, I'm sure the CV's will be affected, only slightly though.
