Does anybody know where I can get instructions for removing or installing head unit for my 99-00 civic?
i tried www.installdr.com (http://www.installdr.com) but it didnt help as much.

not sure how the 99 differs from the 96, but i had a nightmare trying to pull mine out as i thought the whole centre console cluster had to come off.

if u get under ur dash and using a torch to locate the back of the head unit, u will notice that the head unit is bolted in.

once these bolts are removed, the h.u should slide straight out.

It is pretty straight forward.

You remove the console around the handbrake (2 screws). Take off the gearknob (twist) and then take off the four screws on the outside of the gearshifter trim. Then remove the console below the radio (4 screws) and remove the two small screws that hold the bottom of the stock radio in place and you are done.

Or installdr has a guide, its just that everything is reversed due to being based on the US model.
