The Integra is powered by a new larger capacity 2.0 litre i-VTEC all aluminium engine that produces 118 kW of power at 6500 rpm and 191 Nm of torque at 4000 rpm.

The engine fitted to the Type R is the same capacity as the entry Integra; however, the compression ratio has been increased from 9.8:1 to 11.0:1. The Type R engine requires the use of premium unleaded petrol to deliver a lofty 147 kW of power at 7400 rpm and a useful 192 Nm of torque at 6000 rpm.

either way its a fairly good engine (hope its the typre R though) so i wouldnt consider it to be a pancake eh?

It is not a easy swap. Ive only ever heard of a couple of people putting this into earlier model civics. Do you want to put it into your 91 ED or do you have an EG?

Check out www.k20a.org
K20A is the engine that you are asking about, that site has so much info on it.

You will need a fair amount of custom work and alot more money!!!
you will need custom mounts and other things like axles, ecu, completely new fuel system etc etc etc.. the list goes on. I think it will cost you more than $10k to get everything setup and thats without the cost of the engine!

the info you have quoted there is for the NEW integra i think the 2002 integra only had a 1.8L engine with 3 variations. ie. Gsi:nonvtec Vtir:VTEC and TypeR:hand builtVTEC

Another thing im confused about your original post is you say u have an ED civic... yet you ask if it will fit in a EG4??? so which one is it? ED requires new mounts, fuel injection upgrade and new wiring.

dude
its either a ED or a EG, im confused

take a pic and post it up

there is a big difference to your answer depending on your Chassis

your car can't be an ED if it has an EG chassis

i think you should determine a budget first.
cos you may be far better off swapping in a b series in. it will be a hell of a lot easier and cheaper. and if it is the base model 2002 a b will have as much if not more power.
if you decide to swap in a K20 theres no point in doing the base model. considering the cost of the conversion (engine not included) the difference in cost between the 2 engines will be eclipsed.
