How do i remove the warning lite and beep when Driver seat belt not fasten

There is a plug under the seat of the driver's side .. removing the plug removes the warning beep .. as well as the warning lite in the dash. (BUT i am afraid that it also affects the SRS)

there are 3 wires under the Driver's side .. and 2 wires under the pax front seat.

WHICH WIRE DO I CUT .. JUST TO REMOVE THE WARNING LITE AND BEEP, when seat belt is not on!!

:p

any problems with the SRS should illuminate the SRS warning light.

I did the same thing with my 5th gen.

this is what i do, before you get in, just click the seat belt in, and then sit ! problem solved!

or go and buy the metal thing that clicks in, like, a spare one, and just shove it in whenever you want...

hehe, lucky 03 euro doesnt have seatbelt warning, only have to do it in the mazda3 ...

If you cut any of those wires, will effect on the SRS. Because airbags work together with seatbelts...
if you don't wear seatbelts, you'd bang ur head to the steering wheel or fly of the front windshield before ur airbag gets activated in an accident...

tell you what...always wear your seatbelts...it's for your own safety

if you feel uncomfortable wearing them, buy seatbelt pads
if you don't care about safety then just like kam said...click the seatbelts then sit over them..of you can also go to a car wreck yard and get other Euro's seatbelt head and click it...there's no way you can do with the wires

I'm just puzzled why on earth you don't wanna weat a seat belt? Hell just take the doors and roof off too, they only get in the way ;)

In some countries they don't have the law that you must wear seatbelts when driving/in a car...so most of them develop a habit of not wearing seatbelts...

but I think in Singapore the driver must wear seatbelt by law right?

oh i get it...did you (celestar) change your seats to some racing / bucket seats and use racing kind of buckles? and not using your factory seatbelts...

Before you cut anything, please, DON'T CUT ANY YELLOW WIRES. That's for the airbag. Look for another circuit that is directly connected to your seat belt latch.

That's the only reason I can think as well.

I find the key in ignition - door open beep the most irritating. If it did a few beeps and stopped it would be OK, but it goes on forever.

A pain when you want to listen to music with the door open (and car stationary of course).

Hey .. it's not that i hate wearing my seat belt .. but sometimes .. driving like 3 mins to the petrol station or grocery store .. or just in the basement of a carpark .. i dont put on my belt .. Those are the times i have it off ..

So for those goons .. who think they are funny .. well .. Duh .. Ya .. thanks for ure input!

anyway .. still need to know .. how to get rid of the sound!!

In toyota cars .. it's just a simple code .. u need to follow .. like pressing the Odo reset .. and seat belt unbuckle button a few times ... But honda's are more of a pain

For the key in the ignition, door open .. and radio .. on .. U can actually get ure car programmed .. so that with the key out of IGN .. u can actually turn on ure radio. But dont forget to program a timing in for it to auto OFF .. i think the default is 10-15mins

cheers

And yes .. my seats are Recaro Racing seats .. now u know why it is such a pain .. JDM Euro R cars which we order in Singapore come with tis option .. cool. But also a pain when it comes to adjusting for different drivers .. it's not electronic .. it's not levers .. but a knob that .. u have to keep turning!!

Yes .. Singapore .. is bound by "fasten up law" .. meaning .. EVERYONE has to buckle up .. or they get Fined .. Hey why do u think .. this place is Called .. "Fine City" and the ruling governing party is called PAP - People's action party .. (which really stands for Pay and Pay)

Only 3 minutes without a belt eh? Well, it takes less than 0.5 seconds for a car to hit you head on, sending your body flying towards the laminated windshield which probably would not shatter when your head smashes against it. Watermelon anyone?

I was replying with regards to this:

Basement of a carpark is fine though since it is slow enough not to throw you at your windscreen if something hits you.

My thoughts exactly. This is like the car version of a squid... :P

EDIT: Having said that I wouldn't mind if the reminder had a lag of 20 seconds or until you started driving. I like to fire the engine up first thing, then put on my seatbelt, just to give it a little bit more warm up time. This way I always get the chime.

Definitely agree that you should “always” wear your seatbelt and also that the “key in the ignition warning beep” (which I assume is meant to stop you locking yourself out) needs a time out of say 30 seconds.

I like to listen to the car stereo when washing and cleaning it and the never ending warning for the key in the ignition with the door open means I can’t do this. Not the end of the world but come on, if you haven’t worked out what the cause of the beeping is after 30 or so seconds you are just too plain dumb to own any car let alone a Honda.
