Came across this intake manifold for the B16/B18. Unsure of how this works on a street car with the top mounted throttle body. Can anyone explain how this would adapt to a B16A without having an intake pipe straight out of the centre (top) of the bonnet? I just dont see the benefits of this for a manifold option.

The site says - "The sheet metal intake is out and the cast intake is is in, with an expected delivery of production units mid April. Pictured is one of the first finished machined cast prototypes. Look for a test session soon. With the adjustable plenum and removable top we can really tune the intake to a wider array of applications than the sheet metal intake would have satisfied. (Note: Studs and fittings not included)"

there wouldnt be much room for a Throttle Body on the end of that in a Civic or CRX,
Im thinking maybe if you use a B16A in a prototype car, then this would be awsome,

the Brits use the B16A in some rear wheel drive thing with a supercharger and its pretty quick,

You mean the Ariel Atom? Thats got a K20A Supercharged 300BHP. 0-100km in 2.9sec. Very crazy.

But yeah more to the point - still unsure how that mani would work properly.

yeah the atom,
its used to be powered by a B16A

if you had the room, you bolt up a TB to it and then a filter on the TB
