Hi just wondering how long clutchs are supose to last for?
i.e if i put a brand new clutch how long will it last for.
In my B series
Talking about generally as i know it will die quicker if you hit it hard all the time.
Man ive seen clutches last +150,000Kms on daily driven honda's. If you race and do burnouts, expect that figure to drop exponentially.
Hope that helps

My first one lasted 150,000, then the second one is still going at 100,000.
It greatly depends on how you treat it.
If you ride the clutch alot, its gonna wear out sooner. If you do quick gear changes and speed match alot, then it'll last longer.

cool and do OEM clutches generally last longer than the aftermarket ones?
Just that i've never owned a car long enough to wear one out.
The only time i changed one was when i broke the pressure plate.
Also anyone recommend a place to get one done , a decent job but cheap if possible?

it would take approx 3-4hrs to change the clutch, machining the flywheel will be extra too.
Mechanics charge 60-80 per hour.

SKREMN - I've seen how you drive i'm suprised the engine hasn't fallen out.
You've almost broken everything on your car now isn't? So i can't say that your the typical driver ;)
However i am sure that a if it can survive you it should be a tough item. Which brand you using now?
