id say nankang or nexen just because they are a widely used budget tyre.
however id say their wet weather grip is yet to be desired.

I've had 205/40/Zr17 Nexen N3000s on my civic for the last 2+ years. They're due for replacing really soon, but I found they weren't a bad tyre. Wet grip could be better, but wasn't too bad when I kept the pressure up at around 38-40 psi.

As far as budget tyres go, they were pretty good. But that said, there are much better tyres out there few a few bucks extra.

Some friends have tried nexen's out, and they were pretty happy with them for the price.

I agree, there is a reason they are cheap and I haven't heard of half those brands.

apparently the bridgestone monzas are a good budget tyre, a mercedes driver told me they are just as good as the ones mercecdes sell as replacements, but 40% of the price.

if you dont drive hard on the street and also just normal driving. some of the tyres might be ok.

but remember.. if your tyres dont grip. say bye bye to the car

I've got Nexen/Roadstone N3000's on, cant complain actually, its pretty good for the price, wet braking is actually better (imo) than the KU31's I had before.
