I have noticed that my rear window washer squirts when i push my car - usually with VTEC. Does anyone else have this problem? The car is an EG hatch. This is not a joke - i am serious.

haha...

one of the electrical lines on your washer might be connected to the vtec solanoid.;)

funny to hear though

My non-vtec Integra, spray water occasionally from the rear sprayer, when I really cane my car, especially when launching hard from lights. I would say its due to water still in lines, and when you launch hard the water, runs to the back of the car, due to weight transfer and the water just runs out the nozzle

LOL,you gotta admit still pretty funny though.
Your rides just tryin to wash those nissan bugs that are dissappearin in the back window :D
From what i can gather, breeze with B16 swap?
Is it dribbling or actually squirting?
If dribbling sounds like some valve in washer motor on washer bottle is just leaking and g-forces do the rest.
If squirting its a short on wire from washer switch to washer bottle rear motor, with another wire associated with vtec.if new wiring was spliced in check at these joints for moisture or sharp solder pocking thru tape, etc.
If it sort of half squirts could be induction off another wire running parrallel for a long distance ie try & seperate washer wire from loom in places

My Civic does that to - it squirts a little while accelerating, probably because the water in the reservoir swishes around and pushes water up the tube.

Not 100% sure its squirting but there is quite abit of water - not just a few drops but as much as there is when it does squirt.

It's all that power your car is making!! Check electrical connection, then seals.

maybe even disconnected the pump that does the squirting and see how it goes

lol vtec squirters! Awesome...where'd you get them? I want one lol
Check that the vtec solenoid wire is not giving/getting any interference from the power wire to the washer pump..... Both only single wires....even though it is pain it may just serve you to take your front bars to trace the wire from the pump back....... there is not other explanation but that the pump wire is touching another power wire triggering the water sprayer pump.

i think the problem on my car is that the force (if any) from when vtec is engaged pushes the water out of the nozzle

its a lil stream of water not a full super soaker spray action!

my car does it as well
just the acceleration of the car is makign the excess water in the water lines flow back and out the squirter

Noticed my Euro did a small squirt today (but the wipers are huge so they need to be moving to see the squirt), so in saying this, pretty much all cars do this to some extend. Some more than others obviously.

Was this ever solved? Its dated back to April.

Everyones being to technical.

My opinion and its simple. Water is dense and has quite a bit of weight to it per cm3. When you accelerate the weight of the water is forcing it out of the rear squirter.

Nothing to do with VTEC just quick acceleration.

Simple.

*edit* sorry a couple of people have already mentioned this.
