Hey guys,

I've thought about making my 1994 Civic VTi's electric windows directly connected to the battery, like the new cars however they are on a timer i think. I was going to do it with my friend at his auto electrical shop, but i found out that each window is separately fused, does this mean that they carry a big current or load?? Will my battery die after 1 hour of being directly connected to the windows rather than on "ignition"???? Has anyone done this??

they only draw heaps of power when they are actaully moving.. so as long as u arent constantly going up..down..up...down.. then you should be ok..

As long as you hook it up to power that it is constantly on, then you should have no trouble. The only issue is having your windows run up and down constantly without having the car turned on.

i wouldnt think the windows would draw any power if not being used. they are I/O by switch

I am going to close this thread (as there is no need having two open) and you guys can post questions/queries in the other thread if you still have them.
