Just had the 1000km service done on my sport last week, didnt have any problems or issues at all. Has anyone had any issues during the run in or on their first service for the civic?

Wouldnt call it a service... More like a check up.

They dont change anything... maybe top up the washer fluid or something but not much otherwise.

I had a rattling coming from inside the drivers side door. I was convinced a screw was left loose by the tint guy and I was right. Fixed and everything is schweet as :)

Talk them into giving you the Street Legal Tint for $350 (if not thrown in with the car like I did). It's definitely not worth the $600 rrp that they want for it.

Seeing as you can get the 3M tint for $300 ...

Hey guys, is your reverse gear kinda loud.............

I've never had a reverse gear so loud before..........the B16a gearboxes had a slight whine to the but with the civic is alot lounder.

anyone else think the same?

I'm worried not enough tranny fluid...........and they can't check that.

nothing wrong with the tint professor but they aren't the cheapest...or the best.

there is a place on maroondah highway - forgot the name, DOH... but they do a much better job... down ringwood way.

I have darkest legal tinting and it was thrown in for free when i bought the car. I also got floor mats for free :)

As for the 1000km thing... Why are they charging you? They dont do anything unless you complain, in which case there is something wrong with the car and it is their duty to fix. Seriously, i wouldnt call it a service coz all they do is go thru a checklist of shit that they check which i myself could have done if only i had that checklist!

hehehe, yeah the reason why i originally asked was i heard stories of ppl having to pay for their first service... i was expecting to pay only to be told it was FOC and the dealer also gave me a free street directory! (great considering i didnt purchase the car from them!!!) :)

PS, i booked ma 10k kmz service, i expect to pay $200, sounds reasonable to me. Is it?

my first service is free too. i don't see why they should charge you for 1st service. anyway, there's a customer satisfaction survey that will be sent to you. just make sure you highlight that they charge you for the 1st service and that you're not happy about it.

Heh, I'd NEVER go there, they have NO IDEA when it comes to customer service, I was gonna get a Jazz from them at some time in the distant past but the sales there were so far up themselves that I'd nearly had to bitch slap them silly!!!

cheers

errrrrrrr dave u post whore ahahaha

yeah the 1000km service is usually a check up, they just top up most fluids and stuff, and smell the interior to make sure your farts haven't destroyed the new car smell LOL!!

I want mine to go back to 1000kms again :( already up to 26,000kms...

the first 1000km service should be free.. no labour cost.. but they do charge u fees.. like engine oil and oil filter.. and there shouldn't be other things to change beside that.
