[Euro] Glove box alignment

My glovebox is sticking out a bit (almost a centimeter) on the right hand side when its closed.

Is it the same on your Euro?

If not, is there a way to realign it?

i think this is just how the glove box is on the euros. mines been like that since day one and never bothered to think of a solution. let you know if i come up with anyhting

There was a thread on this ages ago, I think some got it fixed under wty, others tried but it was only a little better.

I'm bringing my car in to service tomorrow and I have notified them of my glovebox. Mine is only about 3-4mm out on the right side, so I'll have to see if they agree it is a problem. I told them that I get a vibration from the glovebox that goes away if I push it flush.

I fixed it! Well its still sticking out a tiny bit (like 1 or 2mm) but it looks virtually flush now, you dont really notice it.

I simply removed that black rubber grommet thing that sticks out from the black plastic area on the right hand side (when the glove box is open, you can see it in the corner).

I hope it doesnt vibrate now since ive removed it, but if it does, i'll just stick on a small rubber foot from a laptop ;)

My grommet was not even touching the plastic. Anyway, the dealer said that it was slightly distorted, and that they just ordered a glovebox in from Melb and will call me in to replace it next week.

I have always wondered why some glovebox fitments are different for each particular vehicle..

I have also seen some Euro Accords where the middle console doesn't really sit that flush. But generally still better than a lot of other brands out there.

My friend's 330Ci has silver over-sprayed paint on his door handle. And some plastics don't see flush either. AND it resonates.

My glovebox is okay, I think my centre console could be 5% better though :(

lol anyone noticed that the glove box is misaligned in that 'Cog' Euro advert on TV? :p

Haha Yes! I just watched the cog ad on tv closely, and the glovebox is indeed out.
They're so proud of the misalignment they decided to advertise it.

Well spotted in the commercial! i feel much better now. Mine is not aligned as well, Honda would not fix it under warranty. eh i give up.
