View Full Version : Ozhonda forum/website cleanup

It's been awhile since we last had a cleanup so its that time of year again to get rid of old threads/posts and inactive users.

Date: Sunday 30 April 2006
Time of outage: 2pm AEST
Period of outage: 4 hours (provided nothing else goes wrong!)
What's happening:

Deletion of threads in "The Lounge" which haven't been replied to in the last 6 months
Deletion of threads in the "Parts for sale", "Cars for sale" and "Wanted To Buy" forums that haven't been replied to in the last 6 months
Deletion of the Spotted thread (new one to be created)
Deletion of the SPAM thread (new one to be created)
Removal/deletion of of all "Newcommers" with zero (0) posts and who haven't logged in the last 12 months
Warning email to be sent to "Newcommers" with zero (0) posts and who haven't logged into the site within the last 6 months. These accounts to be removed if no reply is received within a week.
Icon/lable under username of moderators so they can be easily identified.
That's it for now so if you have a thread in one of the forums (above) that you need, just give it a bump.

only thing with the themes is the emoticons look gheyified =/

i like some of the other darker themes too

Hey Wyn, I cleaned up my forums...well it had never been done for 4 years!! So I did a back up before and after, not a big forum, just for us gamers and it was 10 megs before, then I cleaned it, 1900 threads deleted and now its .7meg!! LOL!! Glad to see you back. Remember BACK UP the forums! It makes fixing problems faster and easier!

Yeah this is the default vB template. Original one will be back up next week sometime.

Things will be updated bit by bit so be patient!

glad to see you finally sorted things out at got everything back up!!! Im sure many people including me were at a loss when the site went down!
