my clock is wack !

Hi

got a 3rd gen prelude ....

...my clock disapears ... comes back bright with wrong time ....goes to 2:00 when i touch it .... goes dark n back to bright ...

....can any1 tell me what the story is ???

please help :s

Everything else is ok with the car? Are you sure its not a battery problem?

Otherwise it sounds like its just a bad connection at the back of the clock, the connector may be loose, or the contacts have oxidized.

Pull the clock assembly out and check the connector. You can scrape the metal pins with a pocket knife to remove any gunk on the contact

if youve stll got a problem with it ive got a spare clock

do u have a big system?
could be power surge/spike...

is the 3rd gen lude the one with the digital dash?...
does the gauge go dim/dark in sync with the clock?

there doesnt sem to be anything wrong with the connections. I just have a sony explode system. nothing hardcore :)

it is digital.....the gague lights dont go dimmer or brighter in sinc with the clock.

but if i touch the buttons on the clock it goes really bright ....and it has a mind of its known....it dies ....goes bright then is just really dim again....dont know if the electrical board of the clock need soldering or if it is just damaged from a surge or whatnot.....
