OK, SP20 call sign gives me away. I currently own a 2001 Mazda SP20 with 4-1 headers, removed 2nd cat, hi flo Canon muffler, CAI and K&N air filter. original car had 98kw and 174nm and now have 112kw and 201nm. So the car has been great and am looking at selling and buying a Jazz VTIs.
My wife owns a Jazz Gli and am impressed with the dynamics and especially 1.3 engine with good economy even though she has an auto.

Im looking at the VTIs with manual and have about $26000 when i sell my car.
I would though like to get unichip and exhaust but am new to Honda so am hoping you guys can advise on the basic costs of upgrading the Jazz and also give me an idea what Kw gain i would get. Depending on what performance mods can be done to the Jazz will depend on whether i sell and buy one. If i dont i'll robably just go for unichip on my SP20 and gain another 10%.

I live in Adelaide too.

r u much after the looks? if not, then maybe VTI will good for you... its basically the same as the top of the range VTIs without the bodykits and fog lights... ( which means ur car is lighter:P)
as for upgrades... i recall one ozhonda member has turbo'd his Jazz in Brisbane? but only if u have that spare money... otherwise pretty much the same to sp20...i guess..

Stick with your SP, the gains you make on a Jazz would be the same as a stock standards VTi-S jazz

with $26k on your hands after you sell your sp20, you should be able to afford a brand new vti-S (including on road costs) and also a full ehxuast system and intake for it too

I am not too sure as for how much kw you will gain, but the jazz has the potential to have a substantial gain with simple mods such as intake, headers and exhaust. Hope this helps

with 26k you will be able to do intake, full exhaust & unichip... but it also depends on how much you can bargain off the price... & yes it does have decent % gains of power with just small mods...

if u're buying a new jazz...26k wont get u jazz, intake, full exhaust and unichip.

u're better off getting a car with more power for 26k.

if i had 26k i'd get a s15 or dc2r :D

for 26k why bother with a jazz when u can get the new civic?
even the base vti is nicer than a jazz
