Hey guys heres my dilema, what would you rather buy a honda prelude 97 vtir manual leather seats 140ks for 16 grand ?

or a 97 integra gsi 126ks for 13.5gs ? keeping in mind i would have money left over to do it up whereas with the prelude that would be my limit also Im not interested in turboing it with the extra money or anything like that more so your basic things cai, backlights, rims, suspension, headunits etc

Im not totally obessed with performance but would like it to have some balls

they are also dark blue in colour and both are in top condition

what would you guys do ?? which option thanks

i would get the 'lude... the extra 2.5k for leather seats and vtec is worth it.

i would go the prelude too
it is more comfortable and has better performance than the gsi teg
another factor is that its the best prelude you can get as its top of the range

if you get a gsi teg (and don't do excessive modifications...ie turbo) you'll always be wishing you had a type r

and if the car has been maintained properly...140,000km is fine

140,000 kms isnt much. especially with a service history.... the car will last beyond double that figure

take them for a drive and see what you prefer

i'd go for the lude, they are very nice to drive. it has more balls, looks better, more comfortable to drive with leather interior etc

Hey guys thx for your opinions the particular lude has no rwc although it looks in top condition and wouldnt need anything changed how much is a rwc to obtain just roughly ?

depends. the actual check and certificate will be between $50 - $100 depending where you go.. plus whatever needs to be replaced. its not too hard to find a place that will give you a dodgy one, but only if the RWC is for yourself and your not selling the car.

i recently got one for my other car (mr2). cost me $80.... tried to get one for the dc2 which i was selling, he wanted over $500 to have the LCA bushings replaced - which is more than double that it should cost.

thx Xscape but would you know if i got the car full inspected before buying if they would issue a rwc with that so if like stateroads or racv where to inspect it ?

racv checks are just a VERY brief rundown of the car.
however coz of racv's reputation it gives most people peace of mind.

i work in the service dept for a dealer in SE melb, we can do a rwc inspection for you if you like (pm for details)

140kms isnt that much for a what, 9yr old car?? averaging about 15.555556kms per year! plus u got the leather crap.. :p good price & good car! imo as long as the car hasnt had too many owners, u'd want to be the 2-3 owner if possible.. too many owners = misfortune as i was told by sum guy that sounded like he knew what he was talking abt.. goodluck with it though! :)

he means 140,000. you wouldn't find many cars that age with 140km, unless they are complete trailer ponies.

i would (out of those 2) get the prelude because it seems to be superior to the gsi in every aspect, but why not wait for a good vtir to show up?

ive driven both.
the vtec punches hard in the lude. plus the lude has that classy touch.
happy hunting

i say get a teg vtir better then both of them and u would have more money modding up the car whereas if u buy the lude
