Hey guys just wondering about my options for a rear swaybar on my EF8.

So far i have RSR springs and KYB shox.. front and rear strut braces and c pillar brace and front tie bar.

Now my thoughts are that i should get a rear swaybar because everyone recommends them as a good upgrade.

However i am having difficulty sourcing one that are specifically for EF8.

My other thoughts on my setup includes to leave the front swaybar stock to reduce/prevent understeer. And to also consider a rear tie bar?

The car is a daily driven street car.. but i live in the mountains so i fond of twisty runs

so yeah could someone recommended me a rear sway bar setup for EF and where i could source one. Like brands/modelnames or if swaybars for other cars would fit.

thanks

You have one already - Whiteline can make up a custom adjustable for you though.

yeah i know there is the factory one...
i doubt i could be bothered getting custom.
I know whiteline make 18mm ones..
but i am thinking that larger might be the way to go if possible.

I know there are quite a few american swaybars around that are 20 to 22mm
like tanabe usa, ST etc. But shipping is usually too expensive to make it worthwhile.

yeah, I had the same problem. Only decent sized ones I could find were in the US. So I am trying adapt a DC2 rear swaybar to my ED6 and see how it goes. Need to wait til I get my car back from the mechanics before I can try it and get results.

the whiteline one replaces the OEM supplied one.

bsracer.. it should fit.. but whiteline ED ones are only 18mm
where as others are 22mm

how much u getting it for anyway?

if 20/22mm ones dont seem like an easy option in the future i will just get a whiteline

some people like 'string' have used a typer whiteline kit.. and i have read that DA integras (string's car) and EF's use the same rear sway bar setup..

18mm is plenty for road tyres and road use, you wouldnt want any larger unless ur full circuit and running at least semi-slicks
