SRS light on 2001 model civic????

hey all,

have all ready done a search about the SRS light problems on the forum and it has given different pointer's about different models of honda but not any about the 2001 civic,

my problem is that the other day i started my car and the SRS light turned on and hasnt turned off since,

does any1 know how to fix this or should i seek the help of the pro's,

any help would be good,

have you had anything installed in your car lately

like an alarm, stereo ???

you can read out the fault code from the SRS ecu and find out why its on, you can also reset the light and see if it goes away.


you need to locate the yellow 2 pin femail connector under your dash, it should just be hanging around not plugged into anything other than a plastic holder.

yeah i had a tv and ps2 installed recently but it turned on like a week or so after that,

also where is the plastic holder???? and do i plug yellow to pin female into that???
