Firstly, i chose this product above all other gimmicks as it was the very original and i also managed to get it brand new with the ground cables from a wholesaler for about AU$50. Its also the only product of its kind to have dyno figures as well as mulitmeter readouts and electrical frequency readings.
It claims to stabilize voltage and improve alot of electrical equipment, it also stores a charge hence the 4 capacitors inside the unit. It works the same as a capacitor for an audio system except for your whole car so you can imagine the benefits. it also claims to improve sensor signals to ecu due to stability. It stores a charge making sure the cars demands are always met in voltage and current when theres an electrical peak (ie my big 6x9s running off the deck, but more on that later)
Now with some of the claims of the product as well as some of my observations:
Increased Plug Firing = Increased TQ (low/mid speed), improved starting & response.
Currently i am unable to prove this due to lack of any proper electrical testing equipment, though my car does start easier.
Increased & Stabilized Electricity = Increased TQ (low/mid speed), improved response and light brightness.
Again unable to fully test raw figures of electronics, however lights are brighter.
Increased & stabilized Plug firing = *as per first point.
Engine does FEEL more responsive but cannot prove it without a dyno.
Stabilized Parts = Increased light brightness, improved sensor response.
Again, the lights are noticeably brighter and no longer blink to audio. As for sensor response, will do some multimeter testing with the guidance of my Haynes manual when i get the chance.
Stabilized car audio + ecu and decreased noise = Improved bass sound and decreased noise.
This is probably the most obvious. firstly to elaborate, i have a standard basic kenwood MP3 deck connected to 4x6 components at the front and 500w(peak) per speaker 6x9s at the back (designed for low/mid freq.) mounted on a solid mdf parcel shelf.
Now i knew that my deck could not handle my 6x9s hunger, and had 3 times resulted in my battery dying mid drive with my car almost stalling on all occasions. when i get a chance to pay attention to my audio i will be doing a subless amped setup.
Tested this on a specific audio track throughout the whole song, before i could only put my deck up to volume 22 with +8/+4/+6 bass/mid/high deck setup before noticeable distortion. I can now put it on volume 24 on the same freq settings before distortion is detected... so yeah bass is improved though not a substitute for an amp. It also eliminated light blips from bass.
OVERALL
I believe this to be a legit item. This is not a magic 100kw+ atw device like the hyclone or rare earth magnet, however for the price it is a good improvement for audio, and if i manage to prove some of their other claims.. it'd be an awesome bonus.
I got this cheap but got shipping cheaper as it was somethnig i bought on top of my AFPR and Microwave sensor so it was like a bonus for myself wether it worked or not.
