i`ll be considering this option if it is too hard to get mine over :(
has any of you`s ever bought your own car from the jap house auctions and then got it shipped to aus?
at present with my mods stripped and leaving the hks suspension and the clifford alarm i could get $41,600/€25,000.
any help is appreciated ;)

we aren't able to import Japanese Integra Type R's because of our import laws.
The only way to get a JDM Type R onto our shores is if you have owned it for over 1 year in Japan.

should apply to you too.
i had a guy who brought a rolls royce from singapore to australia and I gave him an insurance policy. as long as its your private vehicle that you own somewhere else.

Mmmm you also have to prove that you've owned it for a year and from what I remember prove that you actually use it eg rego papers, insurance papers if applicable etc etc (not just store it overseas for a year and live in Australia)....

all of the above applies to me.
it gives me all the more reason to bring it over.
you can bring in any cars to nz without prior ownership.
