DIY polished lip

Has anyone every done this on there rims?? Like on steelies and such.

Planing on doing this for the jdm typeR rims but don't know where to start.

Any guidence would be appreciated.

just go anf get heaps of wet and dry sand paper.

500 - 2000 and do the lip in each grade untill u get to the finest and THEN some decent metal polish and shine the lip up.

i brought my 13+ year old enkeis to life with this method. still shine today.

all they need is regular polish and onces they r done onces theyll be right.

id like to se a steelie lipped lol. :)

Would it be better to strip the paint frist and start starting the bare metal?

I saw a sheet metal guy polish some stainless pipe up. He had a buffer pad on the end of the drill. He has some special greases (in different grades) that he applied to the pipe and gradually brought the pipe to a mirror finish. He didn't use sandpaper at all. I'm not sure where you can get this grease from though...ask around at sheet metal places.
