i have done a search and have no luck finding any topics that are directly relevant to this. i am looking at a new exhaust system for my new 06 Civic VTI.

i was quoted at Mr Muffler at Ringwood $750 for a 2.25 cat back super cat muffler with silencer and a manga high flow cat. $750 includes installation and everything. is magna a good brrand?

they claim it produces a 5-8kw gain at the front wheels. and that i will 'feel the difference' once the exhaust is fitted. Is this true?

Congrats on the purchase.

I have no idea about magna (magnaflow?), but that is a pretty cheap price for installation included - so I would research magna first.

Apparently Greddy makes an EVO 2 exhaust for the '06 SI (US), whether or not it will fit Aussie sedans is another question. 5-8kw ATW maybe a bit over the top, I would expect maybe 5-8kw at the flywheel... unless a more experienced member can correct me?

TWIN-LOOP MUFFLER - $1150

isn't that a little expensive if its just the muffler? or is it made of high grade steel or something?

oh btw back to the main topic.

anyone know if Magnaflow is a good brand or not? cos i got quoted $350 for the high flow cat alone

magnaflow does make a good high flow cat. Dunno about its exhaust system though. I was considering getting magnaflow muffler and they exhaust guy also said it sounds teriffic, but performance wise, i won't expect 5-8kw gain at the front wheels. 5-8 kw gain at flywheel as Waggy said is more likely.

I'm importing a lot of the Mugen gear from Malaysia (my cousins purchased for me) but I'm not quite sure how to get it into the country... postage/shipping won't be easy and I don't want anything broken.
