Hi guys just watned some info.
Got myself a 3puk toda clutch and was about to put it in. I've been told by some that it could be abit of shudder when driving and good for city driving.
Anyone have one and if you can tell me if its gonna be an ok city driver, as i'm not really taking it hard.

Yes, they are very grabby but they are very good for normal driving. It is only stop/starts that make them annoying

It does not shudder! Your not talking about a torque monster and a twin plate!

Give it a week and you wont know the difference between stock and it.

They do shudder!

Just like any other button or puck clutch, they grab onto the flywheel very quickly if your naughty and 'ride the clutch' a bit.

i have this clutch on 1 of my cars. riding it will just wear it out faster.
this clutch is very grabby.
word of warning, this clutch is not good for your gearbox in the long run.
it will shudder alot at first, but after about 1000 km's it doesnt do it as much.
as for city driving, at first it will be a bitch but u get use to it.
im used to mine but i still hate the start and stopping all the time.

3puck is overkill for NA.....

it will shudder alot and it will wear out ur flywheel/PP alot faster. If u have hi-hp b-series, twin disc all the way. otherwise id use a standard organic disc and uprated pressure plate. If all those options dont suit you, 5-6puck is ur friend.

I have an Excedy 3 puck clutch. It does shudder a litle bit, but not all the time. Not too anoying for me. Mines only a weekend driver though.

i had one for a while, i actually found it easier to drive than the current organic full face one (this new pressure plate is an animal).
it lasted me about 80k km on a chromoly flywheel. the flywheel is still going strong :)
there will be shudder upon take-off, and there is no way around this issue. it's one of those you'll have to live with.
they have a great heat capacity, you can launch time and time again, and it'll never start slipping.

+ they have reduce rotating assembly mass, which has the same effect as a lightened flywheel.
