Hey Guys i've seen some of you post up your accords that has either a H22A or is boosted or even Both! :P my question is how fast are your cars, say in a quarter mile and how much have you spend just on performance parts :?:

i put a h22a in my 94 accord vti, cost me a bit over 4 k but only because i did all the labour myself except for an exhaust mod.

I used to think the stock f22b (sohc vtec 2.2) 5speed in it went well......once i got the h22a 5 speed with LSD running i realised i was kidding myself as the h22a makes the car fly, well its no wrx eater but it puts up a very good fight and i did beat a 200sx at the traffic lights one night...the driver was pissed.

You can easily blow off any falcon 6 or commodore 6 all day long.....i want to race a stock gen 3.

I dont live in sydney but i am there quite often, one of these days i'll take it to WSID and get a time slip for it. I would say it would do a mid to high 14 sec ET....not the fastest thing out there but for a 2.2 n/a engine in a largeish car it aint too bad.

Hey man,

I've got a boosted accord and I'm in Syd as well (as Calvo's already said).

You can check out the specs and pics at http://www.accordturbo.com.

On 6 pds of boost, I went from 74 kw atw to 105 kw atw.

Atm, I'm running 8 pds (got a boost controller) and just recently got a new 3" exhaust fitted, so I'm hoping it should dyno anywhere between 120-130kw atw.

It picked up 15kw atw with just 2 pds of boost on the dyno and, now that I've fitted the new exhaust, I'm hoping it should dyno at about 125kw at the wheels.

The reason I'm running low boost atm is because of my stuffed auto tranny but the manual conversion (yea ... I'm definetely going with manual now) should be happening in a month or so. Then I'll be able to run about 10 pds and, eventually, the engine will come out and get totally strengthened (then the skies the limit :x)

Hope that helps abit man.

Thnx Blade .... your car sounds good man ... how much did that cost you? and how muh is it to convert an auto to manual?.... i've got a 94 accord and i was thinking of either jus boosting the engine or putting a H22a in it ... still have not made up my mind yet but im edgeing on to boosting having felt my friends 200 last night.... :P

h22a accord

i went from 80.46 kw at the wheels with my f22b (CAI and axle back exhaust) to 110.28kw at the wheels with my h22a (CAI and cat back zorst)

oh i should give the thing a tune because all ive done to my h22a since getting it is change the sump and g/box oil and platinum plugs..everything else is how it came from japan...even got the OEM ignition leads hehehe.

i got a H22a accord..
atm with chip.. full exhaust.. extractors.. COLD air intake.. other other little bits and pieces..
i pulled a 14.5 at 98MPH but i had very crappy tyres on(BLAD TYRES) and ECU stuffs up when launching in 5k RPM range..
it can pull a 14 Flat or 14.3 1/4... but thats everything perfect..
i race against VX monaro's and i beat them about 1/2 car to 1 car..
its a freaky motor i tell u..

but hey.. a snail is on its way.. see how well it goes hey??

Calvo!! Count me in too bruva!!

prelude 5 speed LSD tranny and you have to double clutch to get 5th as syncros must be worn or something and if u pull 2nd gear way too fast it will crunch.

I've got both of wat u were asking for.
My h22a only cost me 1500 including engine, installation and wiring cos me and a mate did it all.
My first turbo kit cost me 1200 cos we did most of it.
Rebuild including pistons, rods, bearings, balancing, headwork, arp bolts, seals, oils ect... cost about $3500
Tdo7 turbo cost about 800 and cooler 500 ...... and the list goes on.
I've still got the computer to install and tune and thats 1700.
All of these prices are pretty cheap cos it pays to shop around!
WHen finished i'm hoping for at least 200kw at the wheels but aiming for way more if the ignition holds up. But we'll see how it goes.
Hope that helps u out abit
