Do a search! I am 100% sure this has been discussed here before.

I have one tip for you though and i hope you are already doing this. Make sure the car has warmed up properly before entering VTEC!

hey redliner... mine apprently is the same at the moment!

phillip (the honda doctor) gave me a run down on it, its not harming or wrong that the car is running like this, but for us "hoons" it can be fixed so its running 100%...

His going to do a full performance tune with my next service and get it "hooning" 100%

just a service might be enough to get you back upto speed =)
my car allways feels like a dream right after a service...

I actually find injector cleaner gives me a smoother but gutsier drive. But i think thats more to do with the jap tuning.

Well I dont have vtec but before revving high i warm it up till the gauge gets to the normal temperature, 20 mins is too long. 5-10 minutes is suficient IMO.

depends on the car, my b16a needs to be run for up to 15 minutes on a cold day to get up to temperature. damn efficient cooling system

ive had this problem before and i found it was because of the constant high reving, it happened after i my car went on the track. the same thing happened to my friends S2000 theres noise but no go right?

if you are good friends with ur mechanic, ask him change oil for you (cheaper oil first) then make the engine really hot, and release it all.... then put the better oil in...... your car should run smoother then ever..... and your oil would be so so so clean and clear with out all the grime built up from all the years. i do it to my car ever 2md or 3rd service.....

My vtec dont seem to get enuf pull these days...

Check the following...

* Ignition timing & plugs - gap @ 1.1mm
* Oil level (Change if nessesary)
* ECU water temp sensor connection
* Engine earth - continuity
* Oil leaks @ / near Vtec solinoid
* Intake - dirty / blocked filter
* Exhaust system - Blocked catalyst / muffler
* Cam timing (If you've had the belt replaced recently)

Cheers
