I actually read it in a magazine from HK. It says there will be a new design and improved Type R coming out later this year together with a new Jazz with 5 speed manual 1.5T in it.

i doubt there will be, the current model was just released about a year ago,
and if there were to be a type-r for Australia, again unlikely, because we wouldve got it already.

If you are talking about a NEW NEW one, like new design, i don't think so, production, is said to be stopping the integra series, like the prelude.

I see... Thanks man! I was just so excited when I saw it.

So no more Integra? What's next or its replacement?

the release of the type s pretty much was the nail in the coffin for a future type r anyway

Well, in the states they are discontinuing the RSX/Integra (DC5) line. So this means the Integra around the world are also going to be discontinued.

its over, no more integras, no replacements, they killed it like they killed the ludes. think the s2k is gona be next, only reason i think its still in production cos its the only convertable honda they have to rival other companies. only sport car honda focus on now are the Civic Type R and the NSX. but honda Aus not going that road as it seems, no sports, trying to be the next bmw/merc.....

honda australia isnt cutting cars and all that for the sake of it..its based on the demand factor and costs to get them into our shores, the cars we all enjoy did not have huge sales, only a nich market for young people who loved the honda sports cars...and alot of people were not prepared to pay that amount for a new honda sports car eg..close to 45k for a new integra type R, prelude etc....

however honda australia will try to source out the new civic type R and bring that over here if the demand is high and the costs do not blow out...otherwise s2k and type S is all we have for now...

yea thats wat i mean, Profit is the main factor for any company, if no demand thus no profit, they wouldnt be stupid enough to bring in a car just for their showrooms and dont sell.

and they is a reason for that no demand too...price is way too high, even tho the quality is awesome, ppl not prepared to pay for it when they are alternatives. how much the new civic type R ? like 40k ? rather get a dc5 for that price.

just saying the red honda badge isnt worth that much. ofcos diff ppl have diff value perception, for me its not my cup of tea

thats just the current facelift dc5, we have that here already in type s version.
and with the type s at $42k new, the type r would be over 50k i would imagine and it would probably have a hard time.

if a type R is above 50k, i don't think anyone would get it...cause EVO9 is only 57600aud OTR...

exactly, which is why we will probably never see a type r integra again in australia.
