Hi everyone,

I have some problem claiming warranty for a sideskirt with broken clip that now doesn't line up with the body properly.

When sending car into dealer they claim if it is cause by accident or mis-using the warranty will not cover. fair. but after few hours when picking up the car they claim the warranty do not cover bodywork and admit it wasn't cause by any bump or aggresive driving the clip just break and fall off due to tension, obviously it's the workmanship quality.

I was asked to pay for a new sideskirt in the phone which i rejected and they charged 109 bucks just to put the sideskirt back with larger gap from the body.

just wondering if it is true the warranty does not cover bodywork? Thanks.

well.. what does it mean that the warrenty does not cover body work? its for sure that u got ur skirts when purchase ur euro as accessories... then that means it is considered geniune parts and which should be covered under warrenty... maybe ring up Honda Australia to demand an proper answer and also may bring the car to other honda dealers near by to seek their responses... different dealers may sometimes have different decisions...:D

I had clips replaced that were not holding in properly and the skirts were rattling at high speed. No arguements from my dealer.

Depends who fitted the side skirts. If the dealer fitted them and they have come loose as a result of normal driving, then it shoudl be covered by your factory warranty. If you got someone else to fit them, then go back to them.

Anything that the dealer does to your car should be covered by warranty.
