Hey peoplez.
Just wondering for all those people who have tracked there EM1, did u actually stay in ur seat after a hard corner?? The reason im asking is becuase i reckon they have the shitest seats ever. They are flat as with no buckets. So did u have trouble moving around alot or did u just buy some buckets???

yeah, as the EM1 was a US built car they couldnt use seats that were too bolstered.
otherwise all the kingsize US spec behinds (read: fat americans) wouldnt fit in them.

that is dead true because thats how I lean too. cornering hard I either kiss the window OR my left knee is bashed and pushed against the centre console.

I want that steering wheel! How hard is it to install it and do you require any other parts or just the steering wheel alone???

Will the DC2Rs, DC5R. Civic Type R ones all fit in the EM1?

I wouldn’t put my life in the hands of a copy seat. I’d rather have a seat that’s designed to meet Australian standards or has FIA approval.
There are just too many what ifs in this world to trust a seat that hasn’t been crash tested.

true that .. as above... not worht the compromise.. its like brakes u cant skimp on it..
With brakes u are constantly using it... but the seat real integrity is only prevailed in an accident..

Are the SSCUS seats approved.. if so it should be ok... I trust Australian standards..

no dun get teh SSCUS... i rather stock seats then them.... dun risk ur life on it...
i know someone that has them .. and only for like a few months... the recliner is focked alraedy ... and rails rock like a boat....
u can be tight on other things... but not seats.. brakes.. etc. as wat blitz and others said

EM1 stock seats suck..........EM1 stock seats wrapped in leather on track suck more!!!.........hahahaha

i was slipping and sliding all the way round wakefield........i had to brace myself by jammin my knees at either side and had to hold onto the steering wheel around corners!.........was the best fun (extra skill involved....hahaha)........buckets would've been great.

Hi all,

Does anyone has Sparco seats in their EM1? (Looks like Recaro is still the favourite brand among Honda.) I have a pair of Sparco seats waiting to be fitted into my Civic. But I do not know where can I get the brackets and the sliders from. I can get them from Sparco but they wanna charge me $500 for both sliders and brackets. I dun mind paying that amount if I know that these seats are safe in my Civic. And does anyone know where I can check whether these Sparco seats are approved by ADR? I think all Sparco seats are approved by FIA.
Blitz - where did you get your seats install by? Thanks!

Regards,
Johnnie

They are sweet as man, love em. They are pretty stiff but u get used to it. They hold u in really well. Like big side walls, very snug. Had no problems with the sliders or the recliner yet. No movement in the seats either. They are really solid. I would recomend them for sure :)

I'm sure the genuin recaro's would be much better but my budget wasn't high enough for them :(
